Introduction
I’m Amrita, and I’m super excited to share my journey of learning digital marketing with you as a complete beginner. Yes, you heard it right–as a complete beginner. I am going to document my progress, challenges, and success. (when I say document my progress means I’ll try my best, challenges? I know there’s going to be many and success? hmm, hope I will achieve those too.)
Jokes apart, this blog will serve as both a learning tool for myself and a resource for others on the same path. I invite everyone, whether you’re also starting out or have some experience, I hope you’ll find something valuable here. So, let’s explore, learn and conquer the world of digital marketing together!
Digital Dive: Why This Blog
I’ve always found marketing interesting, even from my school days, and of course, from marketing I came to know about digital marketing, and it piqued my interest. So recently, I decided to take a digital dive and dive deeper into digital marketing. However, as we all know, the wealth of information found online can be a little overwhelming.
To be honest, I’ve two main purposes for starting this blog:
- First, I see it as a project. By starting this blog, I want to practice and gain practical knowledge while learning about digital marketing so that I can use real-time knowledge in the real world when needed. I want to gain not only theoretical knowledge but experience, and this blog will work as a proof.
- Also, I aim to create and provide resource for alike individuals who are overwhelmed by the information available online. I want to make it easy to navigate and follow through my articles.
So, I hope everyone of you will help and support me to achieve my goal. This blog is not only for beginners to digital marketing but also experienced individuals are also welcome to take a digital dive with us and share your insights and experiences with us newbies.
My Current Knowledge
As I’ve told you before, I am starting from scratch. So, my knowledge on digital marketing is just in the initial stage (so don’t expect something fancy from me for now, you can expect it later.) But here I want to make one thing clear, I aim to provide a transparent and honest account of my journey and share the knowledge I gain while learning to help you at my best, so you can trust me and take a digital dive with me.
- So far, I’ve learnt that diving into the part that everyone seems to talk about or know about while introducing digital marketing, i.e., SEO, is not the beginning of learning. Before learning about SEO and other fancy things of digital marketing, we should at least have some basic knowledge of what a website is or how it is made.
- Here comes learning of HTML (don’t be afraid, we’re not going to learn all about HTML coding and that; we’re just going to get familiar with the coding for the future.)
- I also have a little theoretical understanding of SEO for now. And at last, here I am writing this blog, so count some experience of content writing too.
- I’ve learnt On-page SEO now, and is heading towards technical SEO. (I’ll update this when my journey end, and you can trust me wholeheartedly then.)
And now, I’m putting these knowledge into practice and learning SEO more practically. (you know one of the purpose of digital dive.)
